AMELIA GOE


I hate writing in the third person, so I'm going to talk about myself, as myself. 

This site is a representation of who I am as a culinarian. I aim to share techniques for the home-cook who wants to "wow" their dinner guests and elevate their regular at-home dining experiences. Oh, and of course whipping up boozy libations to make life a little more razzle dazzle.

Mainly, my inspirations come from my cultural background as a young American-Italian woman. I find a lot of comfort in cooking from scratch, using seasonal ingredients and being a powerhouse lady (taking after my Nonna) in the kitchen. 

I've studied journalism at one of the nation's top journalism schools, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, following it up with a  culinary diploma from Arizona Culinary Institute. I've worked as a journalist and cook in various cities including New York City, Paris, Greve in Chianti and Phoenix. 

So, stay a while, snatch a recipe, listen to some Italian oldies and enjoy.
